Course Description:
This course consists of six parts and will prepare participants for the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) CAD qualification. The tutor is David Ripley, cad4theatre.
The course is structured so that you can create simple drawings after Part 1. In subsequent parts, you will return several times to areas already covered, building knowledge and exploring alternative methods of achieving results. The idea is to give you a foundation of skills, allowing you to start using the program straight away and build on your knowledge. Each section should take about 10 hours to complete. This will vary from person to person and is structured to allow you to work at your own pace. At the end of each module there is a self assessment module, a multiple choice exercise. The ABTT has set up a CAD E-mail address so any queries comments or problems can be dealt with via email.
Course Costs: The cost of each part of the course is £70 (full course @ £400) + VAT.
Software Costs: The current version of AutoCAD may be purchased upon registration, from TMS at £130 + VAT + delivery. The period covered by each registration is two years.
