Course Description:
(Based at the Broadway Theatre in
Barking)
This is a high level course for
those who wish to pursue a career in the theatre as stage manager, or
as a lighting or sound technician. The course includes technical
theatre operations, technical maintenance, stage management,
lighting, sound, scenic construction, prop making, mask making,
scenic painting and production planning.
Students will have practical
experience of working with very high quality equipment in the new
360-seat professional Broadway Theatre with associated workshops,
rehearsal rooms and recording studio. As well as learning the
relevant skills students will have many opportunities of working on a
variety of music, drama and dance shows.
