Theatre Technical and Production Managers are responsible for the management and coordination of the infrastructure for performance, from the immediate theatre technologies and production theatre techniques through to the coordination of resources in collaboration with all the stage production's departments and the creative teams.
Through practice on studio shows, site-specific theatre and shows in our famous Embassy Theatre, students will learn both the practical theatre skills and technical theatre skills to stage a production as well as the management skills - including scheduling, budgeting and administration of legislation - that allow them to lead production teams successfully from the inception of a show through to completion.
The Technical and Production Management strand concentrates on the following: Realisation of design concepts in liaison with the design team and the director; Etiquette, planning and management of the production process in liaison with all other departments including the management of people and resources; building the range of skills necessary to stage productions ranging from fringe to proscenium house.
