Course Description:
Lighting Design is a key ingredient to visual success in the performing arts, be it in live music and fashion shows through to theatre performances and fine art. Right from the first term, students will work with full size lanterns in professionally equipped theatre spaces including a proscenium arch theatre and a range of studio and laboratory spaces.
At Central, students have access to unique experimental lighting studios working with state-of-the-art multi-media equipment. Excellent links provide exciting project opportunities for students with numerous professional organisations (including Stage Electrics, Martin Professional, Essential Lighting, Whitelight, English National Opera and the Hampstead Theatre).
