Course Description:
This
degree focuses upon mise en scéne in performance, exploring the role
of the space, the visual and other production values.
Students consider how the designer
can shape the creative outcome and work alongside Drama, Physical
Theatre and Dance students in production projects.
As a student designer you will
work on a range of performance projects, small and large-scale. The
professional venues on campus are fully equipped to give practical
experience of running theatre systems and collaborating on integrated
design for performance. Students are supported and guided towards
developing a wide range of skills in performance production, theatre
technology and design for performance and your work as a designer
will be applied to, and realised, in the live performance
environment.
