If you want to be a successful professional actor, musical theatre performer, stage manager or technician then GSA Conservatoire has a course that will give you the best possible training. We take the job of training professional performance artists very seriously. Most of our graduates are following successful careers in the world of theatre, television, film and media.

The School of Production oversees the Stage Management, Design & Technical Theatre training, as well as producing all of the conservatoires public performances. The full-time staff and part-time tutors are all experienced in their fields and have worked, or currently work, in the industry as Stage Management, Lighting and Sound Designers, prop-makers, carpenters etc.

The Conservatoire's two theatres are well-equipped with professional-standard lighting and sound equipment including: a full range of intelligent and generic luminaires, constantly updated through our Professional Collaborations.

The TV and Radio Studios at Haydon Place are equipped with some of the latest video and audio digital manipulation software and hardware and Mini DV recording equipment.

Directors and Designers: Students are exposed to contemporary production methods and varying styles of rehearsal through working with Conservatoire staff directors and the many distinguished directors and designers who come to work at the School.

Production Staff and Visiting Tutors: The Conservatoire has an experienced team of tutors working on the course, each with specialised knowledge of production processes and the media industry. In addition to the classes given by the resident staff, tuition in specialist areas is given by visiting tutors working in the profession.
