Description
Over the past 57 years Rose Bruford College has built a worldwide reputation as a leading provider of innovative training in a broad range of technical and performance skills for the live arts. Graduates enter a wide variety of careers in theatre, TV, film, live music, celebratory arts and events encompassing work as designers, technicians, performers and managers.
Our degree programmes are rooted in established values, concepts and practices but are looking to embrace new ideas and technologies where they enhance and extend our ability to articulate ideas and communicate with an audience.
The College, under founder Rose Bruford, pioneered the first acting degree in 1976 and continues to be at the forefront of performance and technical training, developing our programmes to meet the changing needs of the creative industries.
Staff combine expertise in both education and professional practices and visiting industry professionals teach and lead projects on all courses. Placing a strong emphasis on collaboration, disciplines work closely together to create final performance work, mirroring the working practices of professional production teams.
Situated in beautiful parkland, just 30 minutes by train from London's West End, the College combines Grade II listed buildings with the most up to date facilities in a new set of buildings completed in 2002.
Our undergraduate and post-graduate programmes are validated by the University of Manchester and, where appropriate, courses are accredited by the National Council of Drama Training (NCDT). The College is a member of the Conference of Drama Schools.
