Description

The Technical Theatre HND/HNC at Swansea Metropolitan University is a fast growing programme within the Centre for Performance & Literature at one of the UK's newest universities.

The programmes we provide are carefully designed to be intellectually stimulating, practically innovative and academically challenging in order to help our students progress on to degree programmes, further study or directly into the industry.

Our artists in residence are Volcano Theatre company - an internationally renowned company who offer opportunities for students on the Performing Arts and Technical Theatre courses of professional experience alongside the day to day study on the programme.

The programme is practical in nature and designed to equip you with a broad range of skills in the discipline of Technical Theatre. You will study lighting, sound, stage management, design, arts Management and production management in a range of settings in production and non production environments.
