HND Technical Theatre: Jonathan Morgan
Course Description:
Students
on the Technical Theatre HND/C course will undertake classes looking
at all aspects of production, from workshop skills to set design,
lighting and sound operation and design and stage management.
Successful HND students can go onto our degree top-up programme if
they wish. Students get to tour production work to such venues as the
Grand Theatre Swansea and theatres in Dublin. They also have the
chance to provide technical support for our resident professional
theatre company, Volcano Theatre.
As with students who successfully
graduate from the Performing Arts and Theatre Studies course,
Technical Theatre students enjoy all aspects of being practically
involved with backstage aspects of theatre production and go on to
pursue varying careers in the Arts. The enjoyment of the course for
most students encourages them to continue their study with us at
Swansea Met. and join the three-year degree programme
