Course Description:
The emphasis of this course is on the application of digital technology in performance arts and the practical exploration of how digital media in this context and mode of operation becomes an integral element of the performance from creative process to the performance outcome.
The course will provide an experimental platform for students to engage with different approaches and practices exploring computer technologies and new media in performance. Students will have access to sound and video editing suites and dedicated theatre rehearal studios with projection facilities. As the programme shares modules with BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance and BA (Hons) Dance Theatre there will be opportunities to collaborate with these students and create interdisciplinary performance and research outcomes.
