Description
The School of Media, Music and
Performance, with some 1600 students, integrates academic study with
extensive performance and production work. This proven approach has
established the University of Salford at the forefront of European
media and music education. The School's Adelphi campus is situated
only a short walk from the centre of Manchester with all its dynamic
media and music activity.
The School is fully equipped with
recording studios, video edit suites, music, drama and dance
workshops, electro-acoustic, television and radio studios. Bands,
ensembles and production groups, including the School's own Aspects
Theatre Company, give over 300 public performances annually at local
venues, on tour in Britain and abroad and at the Edinburgh Festival.
Programming produced through the School is broadcast by the BBC, ITV,
Granada Television and Channel M.
