LIPA offers a range of Diplomas – which are ideal for students wishing to undertake a one-year, full-time, intensive, vocationally-orientated programme.
These are ideally suited to talented school-leavers aged 18 or over, who have had some experience in performing arts but would like to build on that to make their next step into degree level study in the Higher Education sector. The entry qualifications although at A-level standard or equivalent are also lower than for our degree. They are also highly suitable for mature students.
The new Diplomas build on the successful formula of our Diploma in Popular Music and Sound Technology. Each year this has an initial intake of around 25 students so after six years over 150 people have benefited from this programme, with students coming from around 20 countries. Many have gone on to further degree-level study at LIPA and other institutions. Others are working in recording studios, in A & R, as DJs and as performers.
