Course Description:
This
course is for two years full-time, and students will need to complete
a total of 18 units, which are likely to include: Production Workshop
(Costume Design); Performing Arts in Context (Costume Making); The
Performing' Arts Business (Mask Making); Production Planning
(Period Costume); Production (Wardrobe Management); Stage Design
(Make-up Application); Model Making (Period Make-up). The course will
be delivered by a course team of experienced teachers, many of whom
have worked professionally in the performing arts industry. Each
lecturer brings unique skills, style and areas of speciality to the
course.
This course is designed
specifically for students aiming at a career in Costume, Stage Design
or Make-up in the Film, Television or Theatre Industries, which could
include Costume Designer, Set Designer, Costume Maker, Wardrobe
Manager, Pattern Cutter, Make-up Artist, Researcher, Costumier,
Modern Maker and Mask Maker.
