Course Description:
This new degree promotes dance as an inclusive activity and hybrid art form and explores how expressive dancers and skilful choreographers can engage with and develop new audiences and participants. It will offer a range of performance skills and different approaches to training, including movement improvisation, choreographic exploration, collaborative and interdisciplinary practice and develop an awareness of the body as a ‘living site’ and one which is responsive to its environment. Its core aim is to produce graduates who can apply their creativity, skills and understandings to articulating, making, performing and sharing dance in different contexts and spaces.
