Course Description:
Would
you like to become a sound engineer or music producer? This two-year
foundation degree is one of the leaders in its field; it develops
mastery of the technologies required for successful live and studio
performance.
During the two years you will
become expert in areas such as audio software, studio production
technology, and aural analysis. You will also study sound design and
how to manage a recording studio. The focus is on practical learning
including projects, workshops and work-related learning - as well as
lectures and seminars.
You will be taught at Gateshead
College, allowing you to take advantage of their excellent
facilities. You can still choose to live in University accommodation
in Sunderland.
After the course you can, if you
choose, move straight to the final year of the University's BA (Hons)
Music; this will allow you to gain a full honours degree.
