Course Description:
Including
Post Graduate Diploma in Event Production.
Designed for those intending to
work in the live event industry as production management, this course
is a mixture of taught modules and practical event production.
Starting in February, there are a series of taught modules (covering
topics such as budget and finance management and health and safety in
event work) mixed with the production of a number of live events
including a fashion/catwalk show, a trade show and the production of
the College's summer ball and a number of corporate entertainment
events.
During July and August, the
student will go on work placement in the events industry - the
exact nature of that placement will depend upon the student's
individual interests.
By early December, the full time
part of the course is complete and the student is eligible for the
award of Post Graduate Diploma and may begin employment. As they
work, the student complies a journal reflecting upon their
professional practice. Once complete, this journal is submitted for
the award of MA in Event Production.
