Course Description:
At undergraduate level, four-year courses are offered in Theatre Studies and in Film & Television Studies, either of which may be taken as part of a Master of Arts Joint Honours degree in a wide range of subject combinations or as a Single Honours curriculum. The four-year structure affords the opportunity for more general, or foundational, study in the first two years followed by increasingly specialised study - including more intensive practical project work - in the third and fourth years. First- and second-year courses in Theatre Studies and in Film & Television Studies may also be taken as components in the broadly-based, three-year MA General Humanities degrees.
Undergraduate courses in Theatre Studies include Technical Theatre and Design within Junior Honours, and Advanced Technical Theatre, Advanced Design or Work placement - often to one of the professional theatre producers in Glasgow - in Senior Honours.
