Course Description:
Managing
Performance addresses the theory and practice of managing, and of
enterprise and entrepreneurship in the cultural industries. Managing
Performance is the central area of focus through which you develop
transferable skills in managing, and in developing wider arts
practices. You will also gain an understanding of the social
relevance of performance. The interaction between theory and
practical experience is at the core of this degree and ensures that
our graduates develop the essential skills required by potential
employers.
You will, through a range of case
studies and practical projects, examine issues in strategy, managing
change, administration, events management, publicity, marketing,
fundraising, entrepreneurship, legal and ethical questions, and
financial management.
