Course Description:
This
is an individually designed course of study, which builds on existing
skills and knowledge in a chosen specialist area. Students will
choose one major subject, from Construction, Design, Lighting, Sound
and Stage Management, although elements of all disciplines may form
part of their study to ensure they become a rounded and employable
theatre technician. Individual requirements will be assessed and an
appropriate course of study created which may include practical and
theory classes, shadowing professional staff, relevant work
placements, and undertaking show roles on Mountview's public
performances. There may also be the opportunity to undertake an
academic research project, either individually or in conjunction with
other Postgraduate students.
To qualify for this intensive
three-semester course applicants must already have a degree, or
considerable industry experience.
