Course Description:
Two year course covering all areas of costume making from pattern cutting through to the finished garment. Including organisational and managerial skills, budget control and ordering. It will fully prepare the stduent for a career within the entertainment industry in costume making and wardrobe supervision. Course includes: The role of costume supervisor, history of costume and costume props, pattern cutting (flat and stand), corset and ruff manufacture, fabric sampling, costume construction, wig and hair maintenance, make up, fabric and costume dyeing.
