Course Description:
The
BTEC Higher National Certificate in Theatre Technology develops
Lighting Design, Sound Operation and Production Management and
related skills though a variety of theatre and live production
events.
The course also addresses the
academic requirements of a higher level course with a range of other
units such as Small Business Management, Historical and Contemporary
Studies in addition to exploring production planning through the
support of live performances within the Arts Centre and outside
venues. The course leads to enhanced employment possibilities and
could be used to access Higher Education in other institutions via
HND and vocational degrees.
