Course Description:
Four terms of up to 13 weeks each, the course begins with basic backstage work, including scenery handling and flying, and moves on to all aspects of theatre lighting and sound - including equipment knowledge, Health & Safety in the workplace, effecient and effective equipment, rigging, focusing and plotting, CAD, Intelligent Light Technology, Lighting and Sound design. Students gain extensive practical experience working with professional designers and directors on productions of an exceptionally high standard within the Academy and on work placement.
