Course Description:
This year of intensive creative saturation provides the skills and knowledge needed to establish a career in professional design for performance. Students will receive training in specialist areas of set and costume design and realisation, equipping them with the relevant knowledge and skills to maximise employment potential within the theatre, film, television and related performance-design industries.
With guidance from our team of highly-experienced professionals, students are able to design a timetable tailored to their individual needs and career goals. They can choose skills classes and projects from a range of options including technical drawing, pattern cutting, costume construction, millinery, tailoring, jewellery, model making, scenic art and props making, to prepare them for realised production work in their second and third terms.
In addition, students will work on a series of conceptual projects which allow them to explore their creative identity unhindered by practical limitations.
