Course Description:
The
BA (Hons) Entertainment Design Crafts was created in response to an
increasing need for designers and crafts people who are specialists
in the production of set, props and costumes for the entertainment
industries. While the programme provides specialist training for the
student to gain skills to a professional standard within their chosen
specialist subject area it has also been devised to encourage the
integration and appreciation of all three specialist options.
The programme covers a wide range
of design and practical realisation skills underpinned by visual,
historical and professional studies throughout each stage of the
programme. Both full and part-time routes of study have been designed
to offer flexibility of choice and direction in order to meet
individual needs and aspirations. Live assignments feature strongly
in our curriculum. Our links with industry through visiting speakers,
work experience opportunities and industrial visits have enabled
students work to be showcased both nationally and internationally.
*This
is an award of the University of Teesside, delivered in partnership
with Cleveland College of Art & Design.
